Pascoal Oliveira Ramos (Featured photo)A 70-year-old man who had been missing since April 16 was found dead in Novo Gama, Goiás, on the outskirts of the Federal District.
The body was discovered on September 8, but was so decomposed that a DNA test was required, the results of which were only recently released.
His family said they had offered a reward of R$10,000 for anyone who found him, but that he was last seen leaving his home in the 310 block of Santa Maria (DF).
Surveillance cameras showed Pascoal leaving his home at around 7am and heading to the Pedregal neighborhood of Novo Gama (GO). The case is being investigated by the Homicide Investigation Group (GIH) of the Civil Police of Goiás (PCGO).

In the police report prepared at the time of her disappearance, a man who was the last person to have contact with Pascoal gave a statement.
The first conversation took place a few days before her disappearance, when the man called to ask her to cut the grass. The day before his disappearance, the man spoke again to Pascoal to arrange for the property to be cleaned.

However, still in his testimony, he said that he went to the site and found Pascoal, and that the site had already been cleared of weeds. The man then asked how much he would sell the land for, and Mr. Pascoal replied that it was worth 150,000 reais.
They then agreed to rent the property and agreed to meet the next day to work out details. However, according to the man’s testimony, he never saw Pascoal again.
