The chance to bring home a piece of film history has never been closer. Following the closure of the Central Museum of Cinema and Automobiles in the Parisian suburb of Etrechy, a collection of 50 vehicles used in productions spanning generations will be put up for auction.

The auction will be held entirely online, with no minimum price for lots, and will run from November 21st to 28th. After years of showing off the big-screen icons to visitors across Europe, founder Frank Garrieg told event organizer Bonhams Cars that “the time has come to take them on.”
In addition to cars and motorcycles, 19 pieces of movie memorabilia are also on sale, including a life-size Tyrannosaurus statue worth between US$38,000 and US$65,000 (approximately R$200,000 to R$342,000) and replicas of vehicles from The A-Team, Herbie and Batman.

Several cars from the same series also appear, including the 1986 Buick Grand National from Fast & Furious 4 and the three iconic muscle cars used in the seventh movie.

And a futuristic police car signed by Gene Winfield from Back to the Future II is expected to sell for around US$123,000 (R$680,000).
Another relic expected to see stiff competition is the 1989 Batmobile. It’s based on the classic Chevrolet Impala and even appeared in “Batman Returns.” Its value was between US$81,000 and US$101,000 (R$442,000 and R$550,000). With similar appeal, the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 driven by Keanu Reeves in “John Wick” is expected to sell for US$172,000 (R$938,000).
The catalog includes vehicles from Taxi, RoboCop, Ghostbusters, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as iconic replicas such as the Bumblebee Camaro, Class A Squadron van, and the iconic Super Machines kit.
