Justin was a member of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. After his retirement, he wrote a book, Behind the Scenes of the Kingdom: The Secret Life of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, which contained several accusations. Due to persecution, he obtained political asylum in the United States.
