Seven prisoners suspected of ordering revenge and barricades for the massive police operation that took place on the 28th in the Peña and Alemán favela complexes have been transferred from the Guericino complex in Rio Occidental to the Federal Prison of Catandubas in Paraná state. The prison he will be transferred to was revealed this morning on Mal Gaspard’s blog. The prisoners were taken by car to Rio de Janeiro International Airport, escorted by federal police officers.
Arnaldo da Silva Díaz Nauzinho has already been released from Bangu 1 prison. Carlos Vinicius Lirio da Silva, Soaphead. Eliezer Miranda Joaquim, Kuriam. Fabricio de Melo Jesus, Bisignho. Marco Antonio Pereira Firmino da Silva, “My Tall”. Alexander de Jesus Carlos, shocked. and Roberto de Souza Brito, known as Ilman Metralla.
The blog emphasizes that Catandubas is the same prison where Fernandinho Beira-Mar, the first inmate of the federal penal system, is held, who “opened” the prison in 2006. However, they must not have contact with Beira Mar, nor with each other.
The transfer was requested by the Rio government following a major operation in the Alemão and Peña complexes in Rio’s northern region that left 121 people dead. Before this incident, the state had 58 prisoners in the federal system, but that did not stop CV’s growing control.
The state government said in a statement that the State Secretariat for Criminal Administration (Seap), through the State Secretariat for Criminal Policy (Senappen), began the transfer at 11 a.m. in an action involving the state security forces and the Ministry of Justice.
The transport of the prisoners was carried out under tight security by the Special Operations Directorate (SOE), the Tactical Intervention Group (GIT), and the Search and Recapture Division (Recap) (both of the Saltwater Group) from the Laercio da Costa Pellegrino Prison (Bangu 1) to the Galeon International Airport. At around 12:25 p.m., they began boarding a federal police aircraft to take them to Catandubas.
All those transferred had convictions related to drug trafficking and were included in the federal system pursuant to Law No. 11,671 of 2008 regulating the transfer of extremely dangerous prisoners.
— These criminal leadership transfers reflect our commitment to strengthen our public safety policies and adopt concrete measures to disrupt the activities of criminal organizations within our prison system. This is a strategic move to maintain public order and ensure the peace of Rio de Janeiro’s residents, Governor Claudio Castro said.
Prisons Director-General Maria Rosa Nebel described the operation as part of a containment operation.
— This measure was implemented by the Prison Management Secretariat in a technical and integrated manner to ensure the balance of the prison system and the safety of Rio de Janeiro’s residents. This consolidation of security forces is essential to maintaining regime stability and strengthening the nation’s presence, the Secretary stressed.

The civil, military, federal police and the Rio Public Ministry (MPRJ) have been trying to expel him from the state for about a year. At least four requests to transfer prisoners from various agencies have been submitted to the Criminal Execution Court (VEP) since October last year, but so far without success.

At the time, he was serving a sentence in Jelicino Prison, so he himself would be one of the targets for rescue. Following this plan, two men from Cabeza’s gang hijacked a helicopter mid-flight in September of the same year. No rescue attempt was made as the pilot, a civilian police officer, reacted and engaged the attacker. Eventually, the plane landed at a different location and the two men fled.
