The Federal Government will launch the fourth auction of the Eco-Invest Brazil program, part of the New Brazil Ecological Transformation Plan, during COP30.
The announcement will be made by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change at 1:45 pm on the 14th in the Sumauma Auditorium at the Pavilion Brasil in Belém.
This auction will maintain a mixed finance model that combines public and private resources to increase investment in sustainable development projects.
The initiative will focus on the Amazon region but also extend to other regions of the country, aiming to advance projects that strengthen the bioeconomy, encourage green and sustainable tourism, and support infrastructure to protect the biome and strengthen economic development while generating income for local people.
The event will be attended by Finance Minister Fernando Haddad (via video), Environment and Climate Change Minister Marina Silva, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) President Ilan Goldfein, and representatives from the program’s strategic partners Banco do Brasil and the UK Government.
