IASP, the publisher of the São Paulo Bar Association, will release the book “Trincheira da Liberdade: 90 anos de Tales Castelo Branco” in its library on November 26th at 5pm.
This work brings together 40 authors, including legal scholars, lawyers, judges, and intellectuals, to discuss the trajectory of Brazilian criminals. They include former President Michel Temer, lawyer Antonio Claudio Maris de Oliveira, Belisario dos Santos Jr., Tecio Lins e Silva, and former Minister of Justice José Carlos Díaz.
Tails Castelo Branco served as President of IASP from 2004 to 2006, Vice-President of the OAB Federal Council, and is the author of books such as Da Prisão em Flagrante and Theory and Practice of Criminal Appellate.
Trinqueira da Liberdade is described by its publisher as a manifesto of resistance to democracy and a collection of memories. The foreword was written by Tales’ son, attorney Fernando Castelo Branco.
