Jaguar Parade Exhibition Occupying Belem During COP30 | Dino

This international exhibition uses the capital city of Pará as an open-air gallery, with the aim of promoting art, culture, sustainability and widening the scope of the global message in the protection of biodiversity.

This exhibition coincides with the moment that Belém holds. COP302025 United Nations Climate Change Conference. Until November 30, colorful, stylized jaguars will be sprinkled across tourist attractions and spaces across the city, warning of the urgency of protecting the jaguar species and its natural habitat.

The Jaguar Parade Belem A collection of 52 jaguar sculptures. Curated by Vânia Leal, 42 pieces were created by artists from the state of Pará, two from the state of Maranhão, and the rest are part of previous editions. Created by cultural producer Artery, Jaguar Parade has already brought together more than 250 artists for exhibitions in cities including New York, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis and Paris.

Gaby Amarantos, Fafa de Belém and Isabel Nogueira, the godmothers of the 2025 Jaguar Parade Belém, also gathered around the theme of preserving the symbols of Brazil’s fauna and protecting the forests and the species that depend on them.

The official Jaguar Parade Belém cocktail party will be held on November 14th at 7pm at the Mangal das Garzas Zoo. The event brings together jaguar sculptures in the same location, providing an opportunity to take a closer look at the diversity of styles and interpretations of the participating artists. The work will be on display at Mangal das Garzas until November 16th and will be open to the public.

An important part of the Jaguar Parade Belém is the online charity auction, which will be held from November 12th to December 1st on the IArremate platform.

The completed sculptures can now be seen in the Portal da Amazonia, Avenida Gastronomia, Forte do Presepio, Vero Rio, and in the squares of Repubblica, Fonte, Battista Campos, Frai Brandão and Santuario de Nazaré. You can also find them in Parque da Residencia, Estação das Docas, Usinas da Paz (Guama, Terra Firme, Jurnas), Sesc Doca, Boulevard Shopping Mall, and Parque Shopping Mall.

At the 15th Varanda de Nazaré, guests of Fafa de Belem discovered the works of Antonio Díaz Jr., an artist from Abaetetuba, and Marivaldo Santos from the Icoarasí district.

Ten sculptures recently participated in the Global Citizen Festival Amazonia, reinforcing the message of valuing biodiversity and the role of art as a vehicle for change and environmental awareness.

The Jaguar Parade Belém 2025 exhibition is organized by ISA Energia Brasil with special sponsorship from Itaú, BTG Pactual, Hydro, Suzano and Fairfax Segros. It is also sponsored by Tintas Sherwin-Williams, Consigas, Premier Pet, BRQ Sotrek and Malfrig BRF.

Jaguar (panthera onca) is the largest cat in the Americas and a symbol of ecological balance. Once occupying an entire continent from the southern United States to northern Argentina, their populations are now concentrated in the Amazon, Pantanal, and the remnants of the Cerrado and Atlantic forests.

Brazil is home to most of the world’s jaguar population, and the Amazon is the species’ main refuge, with approximately 60% of the population estimated to be in the country. Due to the animal’s elusive nature and the vastness of its biome, exact numbers are difficult to obtain, but recent studies indicate that there may be between 10,000 and 17,000 individuals living in the Amazon rainforest.
