Cadillac Hearts Team JOTA has confirmed Jack Aitken to its lineup for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. The driver will replace Jenson Button, who bid farewell to professional racing after the 2025 championship final in Bahrain. Aitken will be in the No. 38 car alongside Earl Bamber and Sébastien Bourdais.

The #12 Cadillac V-Series.R returns Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens, who scored points in every race in 2025 and finished fifth in the Hypercar Drivers Championship.

Aitken, who has competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours four times (the last three with Cadillac’s Action Express Racing), will be making his full season debut in WEC. He took his first spin in a JOTA Cadillac during a rookie test in Bahrain.

David Clark, director and founder of JOTA Sport, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jack.” “We have been closely monitoring his progress this year and have been impressed with his speed and stability, which are key factors for success in the hypercar class. As a member of the Cadillac Racing family of drivers, Jack is a natural fit. He already understands the culture, people and expectations of the Cadillac ecosystem.”

Clack added: “In addition to his on-track performance, Jack’s calm personality and team-oriented attitude make him a great addition to our driver lineup. We never underestimate team chemistry. Six individual stars won’t win an endurance race, but six drivers working hard can.”

“Everything we’ve seen from Jack so far shows he embodies that spirit and I can’t wait to see what he achieves with the team next season,” the team director concluded.

Aitken will join Bamber for a full season in Action Express Racing’s IMSA WeatherTech Championship GTP. The only competition will take place from April 17th to 19th and will be WEC at Imola and IMSA at Long Beach. JOTA confirmed that Aitken will prioritize IMSA and will miss the Imola stage.

“We are very grateful for Cadillac’s trust and opportunity,” Aitken said. “Personally, it’s very exciting because I’ve never raced in WEC and I’ve never raced with JOTA, but we’ve come close a few times and now that relationship is bearing fruit.

“They have great talent from drivers to staff and are a successful team in WEC,” Aitken added. “I’m excited to take what we learned at IMSA and take it forward with Action Express.” I’m excited to be doubling my time with the Cadillac V-Series.R at the beginning of this year. ”

“Jack brings exceptional speed, technical acumen and a fierce competitive spirit, making him the perfect complement to our team. Our 2026 roster reflects our strength of continuity,” said Cadillac Racing Program Manager Keeley Bosun.

“Together with our drivers competing in IMSA and WEC, we have built a unified program that drives common performance and development. We are truly excited about the depth, talent and energy this lineup will bring to the season,” Boss concluded.

Aitken, the 2025 Petit Le Mans winner, finished second in the 2025 IMSA Drivers’ Championship and Michelin Endurance Cup with Bamber and Vesty. He competed in 22 IMSA races, achieving three wins (two at Sebring and Petit Le Mans), seven podiums and two pole positions.

Cadillac took fourth place in the WEC 2025 Hypercar Manufacturers Championship. JOTA gave the brand its first win in the WEC with a 1-2 win against Interlagos in July. Teaming up with Bamber, Bourdais and Button, the #38 went on to earn three front-row starts and second places in Brazil, including four top-10 finishes.
