There was a ray of hope in America’s midterm elections. In New York state, Zoran Mamdani, a Ugandan Muslim who declared himself a socialist, was elected mayor of New York in a clear message from voters to the US president. Zoran, 34, defends what President Trump is fighting for. Immigrants, homosexuals, Palestine, ending hunger, income distribution.
In his victory speech, he declared New York a “city of immigrants” and ordered the American president to turn up the volume so that his voice, full of criticism and challenge, could be heard. “We are ushering in a new era. So we’re not just going to stop Trump, we’re going to stop anyone who comes after him.”
Mamdani softened his tone in honor of his wife, Rama Duwaj. “There is no one else I want to be by my side in this moment and through thick and thin.” A Syrian visual artist, Rama is known to readers of the New York Times, Washington Post, BBC News, and Londoners who have seen her art at Tate Modern. Modern, Rama and Zoram met on a dating site.
Mamdani’s victory surprised New York and blindsided Republicans. “If what happened in this election is not a message to all Republicans, we are completely lost,” said Republican Sen. Jim Justice of West Virginia.
Fortunately, the clothes worn by old-fashioned, submissive women do not suit Rama. An unfortunate example occurred in Brazil. Take Michel Bolsonaro. The former first lady insists on giving a vassal speech when speaking to Mueller PL fanatics. That’s a shame. Do something stupid. “I am important and I know my mission. The Bible talks about the submission of a wife to her husband. But it is a healthy submission,” she surmised in Paraná last week.
Who does Delight serve?
Mr. Guilherme Delite will represent Mr. Tarcisio de Freitas. Speak for Bolsonaro. Representing die-hard Bolsonaro supporters. Delight is working to weaken the federal police and render all police investigative processes inoperable. The bill introduced by Delight “could favor interests related to criminal organizations, corruption crimes, and misappropriation of public resources,” the PF memo said.
Delight, who is the SP’s public security chief and is only accredited as rapporteur for the “anti-sectarian” project, has been the target of criticism for defending restrictions on the actions of the public ministry as well as the federal police. It says it wants to force the PF to obey the state government in criminal investigations. The chamber’s president, Hugo Motta, defends Delight. “When I appointed Delight, it was to do strictly technical work without turning it into a political platform.”
So, okay. Motta.
Who does Ugo Motta actually serve?
