Two men were arrested on Tuesday night (November 11) on suspicion of stealing clothing from a store in a shopping mall in Guara (DF). The arrest was carried out by a team from the PMDF’s Special Operations Battalion (Bope) and the 15th Battalion, with support from the Goiás State Police (PMGO) and the Minas Gerais State Police (PMMG).
PMDF intelligence has received information regarding an ongoing crime. Troops went to a shopping mall and approached the suspects, who were carrying backpacks containing 51 items of clothing worth about R$18,000.

Police said the men were carrying backpacks lined with material that blocked signals from the store’s anti-theft sensors. The group carried out similar thefts in various states and used interstate transportation to send the goods to recipients in São Paulo.
After the arrest, police went to a hotel in Ceylandia and found additional stolen clothing and some cocaine.
The two were taken to First Police Station. One of them said he received about 1,000 reais for stealing from shopping malls across the country.
