Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s sex scandal once again plagued the White House this week as President Donald Trump’s popularity wanes. A series of emails released by the US Congress this Wednesday (12/11) revealed messages in which Mr. Epstein claimed to be “the only person who can defeat Mr. Trump” and suggested that Republicans were aware of his criminal activities.
“Yes, thank you. This is really crazy. I’m the only one who can bring him (Trump) down,” Epstein wrote in a contact.
The nearly 20,000-page file, released by Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee, includes communications between Mr. Epstein and multiple associates.
One of the emails, dated December 2018, shows the billionaire responding to an interlocutor who mentioned the opposition’s attempts to undermine the Trump administration.
In the meantime, the judicial siege against the businessman was over. Epstein would be arrested a few months later, in July 2019, on charges of leading a network for the sexual exploitation of minors. In August of the same year, he was found dead in his cell, which authorities classified as a suicide.
In another excerpt, Jeffrey claims that Republicans were on the verge of insanity. “Trump is bordering on insanity,” he wrote.
The message also includes a direct reference to Trump. In a 2019 exchange with author Michael Wolff, Epstein claimed that the then-president “knew about the girls.” In another email sent in 2011 to British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell (later convicted of aiding and abetting a billionaire), Epstein claimed that Trump “spent hours” with one of his victims at his home.
“I know how dirty Donald is,” the billionaire wrote.
The White House responded to the new revelations, saying “the president has done nothing wrong” and accusing Democrats of “rehashing old lies for political expediency.”

Trump backlash with attack on Democrats after Epstein email revelations
During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump promised to release classified documents related to the incident when he returned to the White House. But the now-president has labeled the alleged Epstein client list a “hoax” and “bullshit” and blamed “radical leftists” for spreading the rumor.
Opposition parties and even some Republican politicians are pressuring the government to fully release the investigation files. This week, the House of Representatives gathered enough signatures to vote on a motion to release the documents.
