Anger over return oasis Argentina is not only felt in the hearts of thousands of fans, but also in the streets surrounding the Monumental Stadium. That’s why our love for the British band is expressed in a striking mural. It was inaugurated on November 14th this year on the corner of Crisorción Laralde and the railroad tracks, a few meters from Nunez station.. The production celebrates the return of the legendary British band, who officially reunited after a scandalous split in 2009, and their shows at River Plate on November 15th and 16th as part of the tour. Oasis Live ’25.
The anticipation of the return of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher has inspired a group of artists to create a monumental tribute piece. The mural not only depicts the band’s leaders, but also recreates their musical and emotional world through a composition full of references, colors and details that connect Manchester and Buenos Aires.
The work includes portraits of the Gallagher family, Richard Ashcroft, who opened the show in Argentina, and musicians Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Andy Bell, Jem Archer and Joey Waronker. It also incorporates snippets of fans marching toward the stadium and iconic lyrics that represent multiple generations. The sky in the mural is dyed with the colors of the Argentine flag, reinforcing the historical interaction between the band and the local population.
“This wall was chosen firstly because it is in an area near a river and secondly because the owner of the wall gave us permission. Furthermore, they were always very kind to me, lending me electricity, taking care of my paintings and musical instruments, and so on.”, Daniela Mansa, the muralist’s press representative, explained in a conversation with LA NACION.
“We were able to obtain the painting mainly thanks to our British sponsors. Two of them sponsored trips for artists from the UK“Mansa spoke of the United Nations that was formed to energize this street movement.
Additionally, the followers depicted in the mural are friends of the band and the project, as well as real fans selected from photos sent through appeals on social networks. Hundreds of fans’ names are listed in the memorial.collected through raffles and participatory activities coordinated by Mural of Music.
“Fans were able to enter various raffles in collaboration with local businesses. merchandising Many people at Oasis won the chance to have their names on the mural. Because, as you can see from the image, there are different people walking towards the monument, each with the name of a real person on their shirt.” said the director of Mansa Musica, who promoted the creation of this unique space.
