The Federal Police (PF) has asked the São Paulo court to send a copy of the complaint, declaration and preferential judgment against university student Ana Paula Veloso Fernández. This is stated in the latest update in the case of Ana Paula Veloso Fernández, who is charged with four counts of serial murder.

Excerpt from a document obtained from the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJSP). big citythe Director of the Center for International Cooperation (Interpol) in São Paulo (whose name is not mentioned), formally submitted a judicial request to Rodrigo Tellini de Aguirre Camargo for the purpose of providing the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Brazil with information regarding the murder of Tunisian citizen Haider Mazures.

According to an investigation by the 1st DP of Guarulhos, the metropolis of São Paulo, he would have been the last of the four victims of Ana Paula’s poisoning.

Ana Paula’s twin, Roberta Cristina Veloso Fernandez, said in a statement that her sister met Hader through a dating app and a few days later began claiming she was pregnant with him. Police say the plan was to embarrass him morally and religiously so that he would recognize his supposed son and thereby ensure their financial stability.

As stated in the investigation, the pregnancy was a hoax and was used as emotional bait before the victim was poisoned.

TJSP agreed to send the excerpts requested by Interpol representatives, adding that the indictment also lacked responses from Ana Paula and Roberta’s defense to the charges.

Hader’s suffering

Rep. Harrison Ideian Leite, who is in charge of the case, said the sisters monitored Hader’s suffering in real time after the poisoning. Ana said she filmed a Tunisian man in critical condition in an intensive care unit (ICU) and sent the video to Roberta for news, “commenting on the man’s suffering as if it were something common.”

Days before Hader’s death, the two decided to kill him when he broke off their relationship and requested an abortion. After the crime, Ana sent a fake pregnancy photo to the victim’s family in order to be recognized as the heir. He then sent threatening-toned messages in Arabic to his Tunisian relatives.

During questioning, Roberta admitted helping support the pregnancy theory, but tried to downplay the death, saying it was “a joke that got out of control.” However, the police chief and São Paulo’s Public Ministry claim that she not only profited from the outcome, but also planned and encouraged the murder.

Consecutive deaths in the same pattern

Hader’s murder ended a series of four murders by sisters Roberta Veloso Fernandez and Ana Paula Veloso Fernandez, who prosecutors have dubbed “serial killers.” All crimes featured pellet poisoning, emotional manipulation of victims, and searches of money and residences.

Marcelo Hari Fonseca, the first victim identified, was the owner of the property where the sisters lived in Guarulhos, São Paulo state. Police point out that Ana and Roberta planned his death to protect their home. Investigators say the body was found decomposing on the couch several days later, and Roberta burned the couch to destroy evidence.

Another incident occurred in April when a friend of Ana’s was poisoned with cake and coffee, also in Guarulhos. María Aparecida Rodríguez died after her attacker separated from the military police. The purpose was to kill her friend and entrap her ex-boyfriend, the Prime Minister. Roberta helped create a fake profile that mimicked threatening messages purportedly from the man, including excerpts such as “Unfortunately he killed you” and even “I warned you yesterday.”

“Detective Twins” Premeditated Contract Murder Plan

Neil Correa da Silva became the duo’s third victim. The father of Ana’s friend, he was killed in the city of Duque de Caxias (RJ) in exchange for money. According to the investigation, Roberta negotiated and received a portion of the reward after the crime. In their conversation, the two men referred to the murder as TCC (Course Completion Work), a code created to disguise conversations between the two men.

After Neil’s death, Roberta wrote to her sister: “If it worked…thank God it healed late.”

How the twins were arrested

The sisters’ arrest was the result of phone interceptions, digital tracking and matching of bank account details. After the crime against Hader, Guarulhos’ 1st DP began monitoring suspicious movements of Roberta, who was selling the victim’s belongings on social networks and using another cell phone chip to deceive investigators.

Representative Harrison Leite said the two maintained encrypted communications and used coded language to address the deaths.

On October 15, the team found Roberta in a house in the Ponte Grande neighborhood of Guarulhos. She tried to escape through the back door, but was surrounded. Ana Paula was arrested a few days later in Rio de Janeiro with the help of the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police.

During her arrest, Roberta kept printed copies of her conversations with the victim, bank records, and transfer receipts. For the representatives, this material “demonstrates pride and control over the crimes committed.”

“Their ruthlessness is impressive. They recorded their actions as if they were putting together a portfolio of death,” Leite said.

The twins were charged with four counts of qualified murder and criminal association, which could result in a total sentence of more than 100 years in prison.

As shown in big cityAna is currently being held at Tremembe Prison in the interior of São Paulo, and Roberta is being held at Santana Women’s Prison in the north of São Paulo.

“The penny dropped.”

Lawyer Almir da Silva Sobral said: big citythis Thursday (13/11), I held a video conference with Ana after her transfer.

“She was scared and just by looking at her face I knew a penny had dropped.”

Defense attorney Anna said, “He did not know what he had done,” and emphasized that his client had “not confessed” to the murder. “She just told how it happened.”
