Adolf Hitler did not have Jewish grandparents, according to researchers who analyzed a piece of cloth soaked in the Nazi dictator’s blood, disproving a decades-old rumor. The tissue analyzed contains Hitler’s DNA and was taken from the couch where the dictator committed suicide on April 30, 1945, the team explains in a documentary to be aired on Britain’s Channel 4 on Saturday.

This is the first time Hitler’s genome has been sequenced, said Turi King, a geneticist at the University of Bath in western England who led the scientific study.
The authors of the documentary “Hitler’s DNA: A Dictator’s Blueprint” say that DNA analysis of the Nazi dictator has “debunked the myth” that he had a Jewish grandfather.
Rumor has it that Hitler’s father was born from an extramarital affair between the dictator’s grandmother and her Jewish boss. But researchers have proven that there is a genetic correspondence between Hitler and the male line of his family.
If the rumors were true, “we would not have observed a DNA match with the Hitler family, but we have confirmed this match (…) and this puts an end to this rumor,” Tuli King explained to AFP.
Meanwhile, the research team found it was “very likely” that Hitler suffered from Kallmann syndrome. Kallmann syndrome is often characterized by lower than normal testosterone levels and is commonly associated with cryptorchidism (cryptorchidism), which can cause micropenis.
Researchers stress that DNA analysis confirms for the first time historical documentation that he suffered from right-sided cryptorchidism.
Some famous songs from World War II often mocked Hitler’s constructs.
The test also revealed a “very high” score (top 1%) for autism, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder predisposition.
But researchers stressed that these obstacles cannot explain Hitler’s policies, which led to the deaths of tens of millions of people, including the extermination of six million Jews.
