Science has long advocated consuming certain fatty acids, antioxidants, and several types of vitamins for daily health. Additionally, researchers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Illinois in the US have demonstrated the ideal nutrients for the brain.

Researchers from these institutions analyzed nutritional profiles, blood markers, and brain parameters collected by nuclear magnetic resonance imaging in 100 healthy people between the ages of 65 and 75.
Therefore, subjects who ate more fresh vegetables and fruits had less cognitive decline. Moreover, differences in physical condition were not the cause of the results. Soybeans, avocados, flaxseeds, walnuts, canola oil, and some fish are sources of unsaturated fatty acids, the group of nutrients highlighted in this study.

In a 2021 study of 49,400 women and 27,800 men, Harvard University in the US showed that increased intake of antioxidants, primarily found in fresh vegetables and fruits, was associated with a small risk of cognitive decline.
