On the morning of this Friday (14th), the Rio de Janeiro Police took action against a CV (Commando Vermelho) in Sant Joan de Meriti, Baixada Fluminense.
The action is a continuation of the deadliest containment operation in the country’s history, which took place on October 28 in the Peña and Alemán complexes, leaving 121 people dead.
The operation will be carried out by officers from the Narcotics Suppression Police Department, CORE (Special Resources Coordination) and BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion).
They execute temporary arrest, search and seizure warrants.
Police said the action was the result of an 11-month investigation.
