This Thursday (11/13) Carlos Alcaraz guaranteed that he will maintain his leadership in the ATP rankings until the beginning of 2026. The Spaniard defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6/4, 6/1 in the final group stage match of the ATP Finals in Turin, cementing his place as number one in the men’s world rankings.
To beat Alcaraz, Sinner would have needed to eliminate the Spaniard in the group stage, but Thursday’s win ruled that scenario out.

The Spaniard will face Alexander Zverev on Saturday (11/15). The other match will be between Australian Alex de Minaur and host Jannik Sinner, leader of the Bjorn Borg group.
After the match, Alcaraz emphasized the importance of finishing the year on top again. “This is a big achievement. Finishing the year in first place was one of my goals. After winning this match, I was convinced that I achieved my goal for this year. So this means a lot to me,” he said.
The Spaniard is now aiming to reach the finals to end the season, win another major title and reaffirm his dominance on the circuit ahead of 2026.
