Father Julio was selected in the People category as a “symbol of resistance and solidarity, a national figurehead in the defense of homeless people and the fight for human dignity.”
The winning law group stood out for its “defense of the democratic rule of law, social justice, and fundamental rights through a wide range of public and institutional actions,” according to a document attached to the 2025 edition of the winners.
Coletibo’s Pablo Olala Gonzalez received the award in the Experience and Social Activities category for “preserving the memory and legacy of human rights activist Pablo Olala Gonzalez and promoting cultural, educational and community activities with a focus on civil and human rights.”
The winners were selected by Mr. Kondepe for their social relevance and commitment to human rights advocacy. The award ceremony will take place on December 15th at an event hosted by the Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship in São Paulo and Condepe.
