Rio de Janeiro State Police Chief Felipe Curri reiterated this Thursday (11/13) that he is not interested in starting a political career in the state.
He had already told the column in a previous interview that this statement was false speculation.

“Residents want more.”
The chief said in an interview that the operation has been well-received by local residents and that he has been contacted by people who want to start a new police operation.
“This operation has been approved by 90% of favelas, and they want more. Every day, I receive direct messages on my Instagram from people and residents, who congratulate me on this operation and ask me to please go to their communities and implement similar operations, because the biggest winners of this operation were the people of the favelas.”
Kuri said this time the community members had a say without the presence of an intermediary. “This time, the screams of the favela residents were so loud that they transcended all barriers and were able to speak,” he assessed.
