A 44-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill his ex-partner after he refused to accept the end of their relationship. The arrest took place on Wednesday night (12/11) in the suburban city of Aguas Lindas (GO), Federal District.
According to Tamírez Teixeira, head of the Aguas Lindas Women’s Assistance Police Department (DEAM), the victim filed a police report because, after their separation, the perpetrator began persecuting her, her mother, and her brother, sending audio and messages containing insults and death threats from 3 a.m. on Wednesday (12/11).

PCGO representatives also said the man said he was selling his motorcycle and buying a .38 caliber revolver “to make peace with his girlfriend,” and made several other threats and insults.

“The author was arrested and during interrogation, he confessed to sending the audio because he could not control his emotions due to alcohol problems and could not accept the outcome,” Tamirez said.
According to head of court Aguas Lindas, the author will be defending charges of intimidation and harm committed in the context of domestic violence.
