On Thursday night (13th), an explosion occurred at a compound in Tatuape, in the eastern district of São Paulo, colliding with vehicles in the area, causing damage including broken windows. According to the fire department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Celso Garcia Street and Salim Farah Marouf Street in Tatuape.
There are three vehicles on scene to assist, with a total of eight designated.
According to the fire department, two people were injured by the wreckage. One person was rescued by Sam Ambulance (a mobile ambulance service), but the other person did not want help. There is no information regarding the former’s health condition.
Heavy smoke and small explosions are still occurring at the scene. The vehicle was hit by debris.
According to reports on social media, the explosion was noticed by residents of Tatuape, Belém and nearby places such as Vila Maria.
“All the common parts of the building are destroyed. The plaster has fallen and there are apartments with broken windows.
