Valencia CF has announced the “termination” of Miguel Ángel Corona’s contract, which means that he will resign as sporting director of the “Che” organization and end a period of almost six years in which he held various positions within the management team.
“Valencia CF announces the end of its contractual relationship with Miguel Ángel Corona. The club would like to thank him for his contribution over the past five years and wishes him every success in the future,” the Che organization announced in a short press release on its website this Thursday.
Corona arrived at Valencia in January 2020 as head of scouting and was under the guidance of Cesar Sanchez, who was appointed area director of football at the time. However, Sanchez left after only five months in the position and without any perceived support from owner Peter Lim, allowing Corona to move up the ranks in the club’s organizational chart.
