-Why are you introducing your brother?
– Because I want to open the Brotherhood to the participation of as many brethren as possible, expand its dedication to its members, complement its service with a wide range of topics such as cultural, training and recreational activities, so that the brethren can get to know each other better and strengthen their sense of belonging.
– How have the last weeks of the election process developed?
It’s very exciting. We revealed what we were going to build in Las Aguas and reached out to our brothers to tell them new ways to tell our story. We sent a direct and clear message to all of them. Now it’s their turn to speak out. Once they choose us, we get to work. If we are not chosen, we too will be at the mercy of the Brotherhood.
– Do you think that the presence of three candidates can cause a division after the election process is over?
– That doesn’t make sense to us. We have been and will continue to respond to whatever the Brotherhood asks of us. It is clear that we are announcing our candidacy because we are proposing an alternative way of managing the Brotherhood, and nothing more. If someone interprets this as a division, that is a problem for the thinker. We are all Waters brothers and it doesn’t matter who each of us votes for.
-What projects do you think your candidate will prioritize?
-Our proposal focuses on four fundamental objectives. First, we will open our chapels to daily worship and strengthen their spiritual and community functions. Second, we know and respect the opinions of our brothers on all aspects of fraternal relations and encourage participation and dialogue. Third, it promotes the chain of goodwill between siblings and strengthens the sense of bond and brotherhood. And finally, expand and praise the Repentance Station and strengthen its importance in the life of the Brotherhood.
– Do you think the opening of Atarazanas and its transformation into one of the city’s tourist enclaves will benefit the Brotherhood?
– It depends on what decisions the Brotherhood makes. If houses of worship remain open with their current operating hours, their potential will not be realized much. On the other hand, if the chapel were to open at the same time as the shipyard, it could serve to complement the cultural offering of the historic space in which we are located. Undoubtedly, our project includes, in addition to Atarazanas, connections with all the institutions in the vicinity of the temple, such as the Teatro Maestranza, the Santa Calidad Hospital and the Brotherhood of the Arenal district.
-If you are elected, will your position of trust within the Brotherhood and the Brotherhood be maintained?
– Yes, that’s how I announced it. Any changes that may occur must come from within the fraternity itself and be determined by the brethren themselves.
