A company called Acqua Vias SP has won an auction for the concession for a ferry crossing system in the state of São Paulo. It will now manage 14 waterway sections. The trading session was held this Thursday (11/13) at the stock exchange’s headquarters B3.
The consortium offered a discount of 12.6% from the estimated base value of the notification, corresponding to an average annual consideration of R$461.18 million. It therefore outperformed its three other competitors: Comporte Participações SA, Consórcio Travessias SP and CS Infra SA.

The public-private partnership (PPP) anticipates an investment of R$2.5 billion over 20 years. According to the São Paulo government, the line currently serves 11 million passengers and 10 million vehicles.
The contract also provides for the purchase of more than 40 new ships, the majority of which will be 100% electric. The resource also includes terminal enhancements, among other promised improvements.
