Lawyers for one of the eight defendants in Diego Armando Maradona’s death are planning to file an impeachment motion against the two judges who joined Julieta MacIntuck in the nullity debate, Judges Maximiliano Savarino and Veronica Di Tomaso.
“This Friday morning, I will submit an application to the Permanent Office of the Prosecuting Jury of the Buenos Aires Magistrate,” Rodolfo Baque confirmed.
Lawyers represent nurse Dahiana Gisela Madrid. He is the only defendant to be tried by a popular jury in the framework of a case investigating the Argentine star’s alleged simple murder.
Savarino and Di Tomaso were members of San Isidro’s Third Oral Criminal Court (TOC), which took over the proceedings of Diego’s death on March 11 and concluded at the end of May for the purpose of the documentary “Justicia Divina”. Mr. Baquet believes that both judicial officials were aware of the audiovisual project that caused the trial to be annulled.
In addition, people close to Mackintuck shared conversations the defendant had with Savarino and Di Tomasso about the documentary. Conversations indicate that the magistrates were aware of the cameras inside the room.
