“The innovation created by Mr. Jatene made it possible to definitively correct the defect, guaranteeing a high success rate and placing Brazil in the position of world standard in pediatric cardiac surgery. Today, this technique has been adopted as the international standard for TGA treatment,” explained Marcelo Jatene, surgeon and director of pediatric cardiac surgery at Incor, in a memo.
