Grupo Mateus recorded net income attributable to controlling shareholders of R$850.5 million in the third quarter of 2025. This was an increase of 152.5% compared to the net profit of R$ 336.9 million recorded in the same quarter of 2024.
The retail chain said in a statement that its strong third quarter results were largely due to the reversal of provisions made in the event of a court injunction granted in its favor, which also resulted in lower income tax and social contributions for the period.
According to the income statement published on Friday morning (14th), net revenue for the third quarter of 2025 was R$10.7 billion, an increase of 29.1% compared to the same quarter of 2024, which had revenues of R$8.3 billion.
The company’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) for the third quarter of 2025 was R$833.2 million, an increase of 28.5% compared to the same period last year’s EBITDA of R$648.2 million.
