Directed by Carolina Jaber. Julio Andrade, Wilson Rabelo, and Yara de Novaes are also part of the cast. This work is an adaptation of “Dans le jardin de l’ogre” by French-Moroccan author Leila Slimani. Karolina signs the script with Rita Pifer and Victoria Visco.
The story is about Julia, a successful journalist who lives in a comfortable apartment in São Paulo with her surgeon husband and young son. Although she appears to have a good life, she keeps a closely guarded secret: an urge for dangerous sex.
When her husband suggests that the family move to a rural town, she sees the situation as an opportunity to abandon her self-destructive behavior and become the mother and woman she always wanted to be. Nevertheless, as change approaches, her obsession intensifies, threatening to expose her secrets and destroy her family.
The partnership between Globoplay and Disney has four films planned. The first work, still unreleased, was Na Riña de Fogo, directed by Afonso Poyart and produced by Afro-reggae audiovisual.
