The Alicante Regional Council will end the year with a balanced exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment. More than a dozen samples were conducted throughout 2025 … Thanks to an injection of 200,000 euros from the Valenciana government, it was displayed in the rooms of the Alicante Museum of Fine Arts, the Provincial Palace and the Alicante Science, Literature and Arts Library.
Deputy Minister of Culture; Juan de Dios Navarro highlighted the productivity of the cooperation agreements concluded between state institutions and the Ministry for the purpose of subsidies for cultural and artistic activities. “Along with highly relevant proposals such as the restoration of the Lorenzo Aguirre statue carried out by MUBAG and the Valencia City Council of Museums, this agreement allows us to improve the quality, disseminate and promote the works of Alicante artists and expand the exhibition schedule,” Navarro said.
Undoubtedly, Aguirre’s (1884-1942) project was one of the most ambitious of the year, revealing the history and memory of notable figures from Alicante and the tendencies of the basic stages of culture. ‘Alicante under Lorenzo Aguirre“We enriched the exhibition, which brings together the artist’s personal artistic legacy, with archival materials, paintings, posters and bibliographic materials of artists from the Silver Age of Alicante.Currently, MUBAG is presenting an interesting proposal by Pablo Genoves, which combines photographs of spaces and objects in Alicante with some of the paintings from the permanent exhibition, offering a new perspective on the collection of the 19th century.
Another exhibition space is the Provincial Palace Exhibition Hall, where many people could enjoy various proposals this year. Art.Ellas Collective opens its 2025 calendar with “Threshold of Events”, a variety of works created by the different generations that make up this group of five artists. This was followed by “The Mystery of Life” by the Romanian-born, Alicante-based painter Galbis Adrian Hoffmann, a retrospective of his contemporary abstract collection.
In the summer, “Genesis” was held, a collection of 24 works by Mariam Cremades made with mixed techniques and acrylic paints on canvas, and after the exhibition, an exhibition by Pedro Torres Cotarello opened, bringing together a collection of 25 oil paintings under the title “The Soul of Realism.” The exhibition calendar culminated with “Lumen”. Between Error and Form is an original compilation that predicts the promising career of artist Adrian Espoi.
The Provincial Palace is currently hosting a retrospective exhibition of the work of the late Alicante artist Fernando Soria, which will run until November 30 next year.
Finally, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Provincial Council promoted the program of the Library of Science, Literature and Art in Alicante, with proposals such as Paco Ivora’s “Un Pinci del Ama”, Rosaura Pérez Vicente’s “Moments and Sensations” and Sali Milo Hinojosa’s “Two Views of Berlin”.
