A Bahian from Salvador, Ilsa has received extensive training in Brazil, Germany, and the United States, and holds a PhD in composition from New York University at Buffalo. A former professor at the Federal University of Paraiba, her work is characterized by the relationship between music and literature, influenced by poets such as Augusto dos Anjos and Mario de Andrade.
The new Board of Directors will also include Andre Cardoso (Vice Chairman), Tim L’Escala, Flavia Toni, Joan Guilherme Lipper and Maria Alice Volpe.
