A video of a black ring floating above Disneyland in Anaheim, California, has gone viral on social media, sparking a series of unusual theories about the existence of extraterrestrial life. An image recorded by Lori Nayahalski shows an object moving over the park.

The footage, aired on CW affiliate KTLA-TV, led fans to speculate about paranormal activity or a sign from Walt Disney himself. Some joked that the park had chosen a “new Mickey” after the black smoke that rose from the Sistine Chapel during the papal election, while others suggested an alien invasion. However, according to The Sun, Disney revealed that the ring was the result of a previously tested pyrotechnic effect.
This episode reflects the growing interest in UFOs and extraterrestrial life forms, which are no longer just topics limited to conspiracy theories. In recent years, U.S. authorities have begun treating reports of unidentified flying objects as a national security issue, with the Department of Defense releasing a 1,574-page dossier on the subject in 2022, including analysis of their biological effects on humans and potentially advanced technologies.
The All Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), created by the U.S. government in 2022, investigates sightings reported by civilians and military personnel, including the Navy jet that captured the officially confirmed UFO image. According to authorities, some of these activities may be related to foreign forces or even extraterrestrial origins.
