luxRosalia’s fourth studio album, gave rise to all kinds of criticism and theories. British economic newspaper critic Ludovic Hunter-Tilney financial timesalso draws his own conclusions. There is a very interesting comparison.
”Rosalia created her own Sagrada Familia here. “Unlike the Cathedral, their album is finished, but it seems that it did not meet the budget and deadline,” the journalist compared it to Barcelona’s famous Cathedral.
The media provides the basis for that comparison as follows: ”This project shares a certain atmosphere with the works of Antoni Gaudí kitschamassing an eclectic, free and spiritual iconography. But the execution is imaginative and bold. ”
As explained in Keizai Shimbun, the songs performed by Catalan women on the album are: “They draw inspiration from saints and holy women of Catholicism and other religions.” Some of these saints include: St. Teresa of Jesus, St. Rose of Lima, St. Olga of Kiev, Anandamay Ma, Lyonen Genso, or Hildegard von Bingen.
The criticisms they have made of this album are very positive, claiming that it is “genre-defying”. Any progressive rock band would be jealous. If that happens, record company accountants will also be worried.
