The number of mobile phone thefts recorded in the state from January to September was 19,780, 26% higher than the 15,700 in the same period last year. The number of mobile phone thefts also increased, with 34,456 thefts in the state in the first nine months of 2025, 22% more than the 28,100 registered from January to September last year.
