The city of La Plata will celebrate its 143rd anniversary with a free music festival on Wednesday, November 19th in Plaza Moreno, where residents can enjoy a diverse lineup of local and well-known artists.
On stage will be the presentations of El Mato a un polis Motolizado, Cruzando El Charco, Kapanga and Los Besos, four proposals that cover a variety of styles and promise to give the festival a diverse atmosphere.
In addition, three local bands will perform: Los Bisiboladresses, Lala and La Retilada Murga, winners of the La Plata es Música contest, organized by the city and aimed at encouraging emerging artists in the capital Buenos Aires.

The commemorative festival is part of the city’s initiative Music Week, which runs from this Saturday, November 15 to November 22, and is packed with an agenda of cultural and artistic activities at various points in the game.
For eight days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy shows in genres such as tango, folklore, rock and bolero, held in emblematic venues such as the Cathedral, the Racetrack, Plaza Moreno, the Pasaje d’Ardo Rocha Municipal Arts Center, the Meridiano 5 Regional Art Station and the Teatro Argentino Regional Arts Center.
With this series of proposals, Mayor Julio Arac’s management seeks to foster cultural participation, encourage local music and provide gathering space for the entire community on such special days in the state capital.
