More than 1,000 earthquakes recorded on Japanese island within 15 days
In the video, which has been viewed more than 3 million times, a Chinese content creator shows off his family’s home and surroundings on a small island. The scenery is impressive and, despite its isolation, it is no wonder that families chose to settle there. Check out the linked video.
Surrounded by plantations, waterfalls and fruit trees, the family is proud to live in a different environment. Their two-story home was built piecemeal starting in 2000, using steel cables and steep roads to transport materials. The accommodation is equipped with electricity, internet and spring water.
Before “modernizing” the site, it was accessed by an improvised cable car or cliff climb. Currently, it is possible to cross the island by tricycle across the iron bridge.
The family has a habit of growing pumpkins, tomatoes and peppers, and uses pure spring water for drinking.
Although it may seem dangerous, the Yangs assure you that the place is safe. Even in the event of a flood or earthquake, the water level never threatened the island. For them, safety, contact with nature, and autonomy are top priorities. It’s a choice, not a lack of choice.
