A truck that had been blocking the road by crossing Rodoanelle Mario Cobas since 5:30 a.m. this Wednesday (12/11) was removed from the road at around 10:15 a.m. SPMar concessionaires say the lanes reopened shortly after, at 10:30 a.m.
The kidnapped truck driver lost consciousness and fell from the cabin when he was rescued by members of the Military Police Special Tactical Action Group (GATE) at 9 a.m. (see below). He was restrained for hours by a device believed to be an explosive device. Police later confirmed that the artifact was a fake.

The cancellation caused traffic congestion in the inbound direction from 58 km to 44 km. In the outward direction, traffic was congested from 30 km to 44 km.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital with mild injuries, according to the information management center of the São Paulo State Transport Authority (Artesp).

The truck crossed the road in the outer lane of Itapecerica da Serra, in the São Paulo metropolitan area, at the 44km mark. The driver reported that three people forced him to cross his vehicle on the road.
Kidnapping at Rodanelle
The driver of the vehicle reported that he was forced to leave the truck across the road by three people who fled the scene and became the victim of a robbery and subsequent kidnapping.
Artesp classified the incident as “very serious.” The victim was left unconscious and disoriented for about four hours after being wrapped in wire that appeared to be a homemade bomb inside the truck.
The truck had been on the road since around 5:30 a.m. in the outer lane of Rodoanelle Mario Cobas (SP 021) at the 44km mark.

Around 9 a.m., the road closure caused a traffic jam of more than 20 km. Vehicle traffic in the direction of Rodovia Presidente Dutra is completely prohibited.
Artesp CCi pointed out that in the outer direction of Rodoaner, which leads into São Paulo, there was congestion from 23 km to 44 km, and in the lane next to it, towards the coast, from 57 km to 44 km.
