The former police officer was tried for qualified murder, use of a restricted firearm, drink-driving and unlawful possession of a firearm by a member of the Prime Minister. The judge sentenced Bruno to 22 years and eight months in a closed prison without the possibility of appeal.
Family and friends of Keke, known as Credson, waited 664 days for justice to be served. The victim’s sister, Tereza Cristina, said: “I’m very grateful to God and I’m very happy with everything.”
Recall the example.
- Bruno, accompanied by his wife and some friends, decided to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant in CNM 1.
- Credson was also at the scene, but witnesses said he appeared shaken. Bruno would have gone and talked to him and told him to leave.
- After the altercation, Credson left the scene, and the officer then left the scene.
- However, the two met again at a traffic light on Calle Hélio Prates.
- The Prime Minister said Credson punched the car window and threatened to kill him, and Bruno, fearing for his life, opened fire.
