Jakarta (ANTARA) – Practicing Sunnah worship is a way for Muslims to gain rewards and get closer to Allah SWT. Among the special practices is the Ayyamul Bidh fast, which is a three-day fast in the middle of each month in the Hijri calendar.
Entering November 2025, many are wondering, when exactly will the Ayyamul Bidh fasting schedule be? Check out the complete review regarding the implementation date, reading intentions and procedures for fasting Ayyamul Bidh as a worship guide, based on information gathered from various sources.
Ayyamul Bidh Fasting Schedule November 2025
Ayyamul Bidh fasting is a Sunnah worship performed for three days in the middle of every month in the Hijri calendar. Since it refers to the lunar calendar, the implementation date in the Gregorian calendar will change every month.
In his explanation cited by NU Online, Ustadz Ahmad Muntaha said that the reward of fasting the Sunnah of Ayyamul Bidh for three consecutive days is comparable to fasting for an entire year. This opinion refers to the hadith narrated by Ibn Majah and At-Tirmidhi in the book I’anatut Thalibin.
The term Ayyamul Bidh itself means shining days, referring to the nights of the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Hijri month when the moon is full and its light is bright.
For November 2025, the Ayyamul Bidh fast coincides with the month of Jumadil Awal 1447 H. Based on the Hijri calendar of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the schedule is as follows:
• Tuesday 4 November 2025 (13 Jumadil Awal 1447 AH)
• Wednesday 5 November 2025 (14 Jumadil Awal 1447 AH)
• Thursday 6 November 2025 (15 Jumadil Awal 1447 AH)
Ayyamul Bidh intend to read fasting
Implementing the Ayyamul Bidh fast begins by reading the intention first. Here is the formulation of the intention:
God bless you
Nawaitu shauma ayyamil bidh lillahi ta’ala
Meaning: “I intend to fast Ayyamul Bidh because of Allah Ta’ala.”
Or read the intention as follows:
نويت صوم غد ايام البيض سنة لله تعالى.
Nawaitu Shauma Ghadin Ayyaamul Bidh Sunnatan Lillaahi Ta’ala.
Meaning: “I intend to fast tomorrow on the white days of the Sunnah because of Allah Ta’ala.”
Procedures for performing Ayyamul Bidh fasting
1. Say your intention in the evening before sunrise.
2. Refrain from eating, drinking and things that break the fast until sunset.
3. Keep your attitude, your word and avoid things that are not useful during fasting.
4. Be quick when breaking your fast and pray more at sunset.
Prayer to break the fast Ayyamul Bidh
The prayer for breaking the fast during the Ayyamul Bidh fast is the same as the prayer for breaking the fast exemplified by Rasulullah SAW. A prayer that is usually read is the following:
God bless you God bless you
Dzahabadh dham-u wabtalatil ‘uruuqu wa tsabatal ajru in syaa al-laahu ta’aalaa.
Meaning: “The thirst has disappeared, the veins have become wet, and the reward has been determined, Allah willing.” (HR. Abu Dawud)
