Jakarta (ANTARA) – United States President Donald Trump has announced a 20-point peace plan to end the long conflict in Gaza, Palestine.
This plan is called the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” or a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. This was communicated directly during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, in Washington DC, last Monday (9/29).
On this occasion, Trump referred to the day of the announcement as Historic day for peace or a historic day for peace. Netanyahu also assessed that Trump’s plan could support Israel’s war aims and provide new hope for ending the bloodshed in Gaza.
The peace plan proposed by Trump includes a series of points, ranging from the end of the war, to the release of the hostages, to the reconstruction of Gaza with the support of the international community.

Below are the 20 points of the peace plan for Gaza proposed by Trump:
- Gaza has been designated a terrorism-free zone and has been deradicalized so that it does not become a threat to neighboring countries.
- The reconstruction of Gaza focuses on the interests of those affected by the war.
- If Israel and Hamas accept this plan, the war will end immediately. Israeli troops will withdraw to the agreed line in preparation for the release of the hostages and will suspend military operations until all troops are withdrawn.
- Israel is obliged to return all hostages, both living and dead, within 72 hours of accepting this agreement.
- Following the release of the hostages, Israel will release 250 life prisoners and 1,700 Gaza residents detained since October 7, 2023, including women, children and the bodies of residents.
- Hamas members who want to dismantle their weapons and live side by side will be granted amnesty. Those wishing to leave Gaza will be guaranteed safe travel to their destination country.
- International aid, at least 600 trucks containing logistics, infrastructure, medical equipment and cleaning facilities, will soon enter Gaza, according to the January 19, 2025 agreement.
- The distribution of aid will be managed by the UN, the Red Crescent or other neutral institutions. This will not be interfered with by Israel or Hamas.
- Gaza will be temporarily led by a transitional government of Palestinian technocrats with oversight from a new international body called the “Board of Peace,” formed and led by Trump along with a number of other heads of state. The agency will design a modern Gaza government that serves its people.
- Gaza’s economic development plan will be drawn up by international experts in building a modern city. The aim is also to attract investments, create jobs and offer opportunities to residents.
- A special economic zone was created with trade access and preferential tariffs agreed with participating countries.
- There is no compulsion for Gazans to leave. However, residents will be encouraged to stay and will have the opportunity to build a better future.
- Hamas and other factions will have no role in the government. Military infrastructure, tunnels and weapons production facilities will be destroyed and monitored by independent observers.
- Regional partners will provide security so that Gaza does not become a threat again and ensure that Hamas and other factions comply with their obligations.
- Establishment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) by the United States, Arabs, and other international partners. The ISF will train and support the Palestinian police in Gaza as a long-term internal security agency.
- Israel will not occupy Gaza. The IDF will gradually hand over the Gaza area to the ISF in accordance with the stipulated agreement.
- If Hamas delays or rejects this plan, all assistance operations will be continued in terrorism-free areas from the IDF to the ISF.
- The deradicalization process will be carried out through interreligious dialogue based on the values of tolerance and peaceful living. This aims to change the mentality of Palestinians and Israelis.
- Once reconstruction begins and the reform of the Palestinian Authority is completed, opportunities for self-determination and the possibility of a Palestinian state will open up.
- The United States will facilitate Israeli-Palestinian political dialogue to formulate a long-term peace path.

Previously, Trump also presented 21 points of similar proposals while meeting with several Arab and Muslim countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Wednesday (24/9).
The difference between the plans lies in another point, namely that Israel undertakes not to carry out further attacks against Qatar, while the United States and the international community recognize Doha’s role as a mediator in the Gaza conflict.
Furthermore, the Italian government through Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has expressed its support for Trump’s peace plan. Italy has long underlined its commitment to supporting all efforts that can put an end to the war in Gaza.
Not just Italy, there are also several other countries that have responded positively to the goodwill of the peace plan, including Iraq, Russia and Malaysia.
