Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto has paid special respect to retired TNI officers by awarding special or honorary ranks (HOR) to 11 high-ranking officers. The awards ceremony took place on board the KRI command ship dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992, Thursday (2/10).
This special promotion was determined through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 93/TNI of 2025 as a form of recognition for their service and dedication while serving.
On that occasion, Prabowo underlined that the award was not just a symbol, but a form of respect from the State for dedication that goes beyond the call of duty.

The reason why President Prabowo awarded honorary ranks to 11 retired TNI military officers
Prabowo explained that this award was a form of appreciation from the state for the excellent services they had provided even though they were no longer in active service.
“Even though they retired, it is a recognition of the contribution they made to the nation,” Prabowo said after leading the ranking procession in Jakarta.
This award is based on the Presidential Decree (Keppres) of the Republic of Indonesia number 93/TNI of 2025 regarding the awarding of special ranks. In his speech, Prabowo emphasized that this honor was aimed at high-ranking TNI officers who were considered to have the best track record of service during their military career.
He said their dedication went beyond the call of duty, as well as being a concrete manifestation of maintaining the honor and sovereignty of the country.
“During their military service, they did very useful things, even above and beyond the call of duty. For this reason, I have the honor today to present this award,” the President said.
During the procession, Prabowo symbolically took off his old rank and gave new ones to the two retired officers present. This moment is a symbol of the State’s respect for the service, dedication and loyalty rendered while serving in the TNI.

A total of eleven retired Indonesian National Army officers have received special promotions granted directly by President Prabowo Subianto. Here is the complete list:
1. Indonesian National Army Lieutenant General (Ret.) HBL Mantiri received the rank of Honorary General of the Indonesian National Army;
2. Indonesian National Army Lieutenant General (ret.) Bibit Waluyo received the rank of Honorary General of the Indonesian National Army;
3. Vice Admiral of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Didit Herdiawan received the rank of Honorary Admiral of the Indonesian National Army;
4. Vice Admiral of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Achmad Taufiqoerrochman received the rank of Honorary Admiral of the Indonesian National Army;
5. Marshal of the Indonesian National Army (Ret.) Donny Ermawan Taufanto received the rank of Honorary Marshal of the Indonesian National Army;
6. Major General of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Lodewyk Pusung received the rank of Honorary Lieutenant General of the Indonesian National Army;
7. Major General of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Untung Budiharto received the rank of Honorary Lieutenant General of the Indonesian National Army;
8. Major General of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Dadang Hendrayudha received the rank of Honorary Lieutenant General of the Indonesian National Army;
9. Major General of the Indonesian National Army (ret.) Surawahadi received the rank of Honorary Lieutenant General of the Indonesian National Army;
10. Junior Marshal of the Indonesian National Army (Ret.) Bonar H. Hutagaol received the rank of Honorary Vice Marshal of the Indonesian National Army;
11. Infantry Colonel (retired) Restu Widiyantoro, MDA. received the rank of honorary brigadier general of the Indonesian National Army.
In the awards ceremony which took place on the KRI Command Ship, Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming, President of the Regional Representative Council Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, Commander of the Indonesian National Army General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Army General Tandyo Budi R. and the Chiefs of Staff of the Force were also present.
The awarding of this honorary rank is part of a series of activities Presidential inspection President Prabowo at KRI Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992, as well as a form of state respect for the service, dedication and dedication of Indonesian National Army soldiers, both during active service and after entering retirement.
