Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle returned to the set for the first time after an eight-year break from acting, since she announced her engagement to Prince Harry.
According to reports from The Sun, Meghan will join the cast of the film “Close Personal Friends” produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which also stars Jack Quaid, Lily Collins and Brie Larsen.
He is said to be seen on the set of the film shot in Pasadena, California, United States (USA), where he will play himself.
“This is a big moment for Meghan because it marks her return to what she truly loves (acting),” a studio representative told the Sun.
The studio representative also said that Meghan Markle has indeed received many role offers, but believes that this film project is the most suitable.
It has also been reported that Prince Harry fully supports his wife’s return to acting and wants Meghan to do whatever makes her happy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film “Close Personal Friends” tells the comical story of two pairs of lovers from different backgrounds, namely a celebrity couple and an ordinary couple who are on vacation in Santa Barbara. The film, directed by Jason Orley, was announced last August.
Meghan Markle previously appeared in films such as “Remember Me” and “Horrible Bosses”, and eventually gained popularity thanks to the TV series “Suits”.
The woman, 44, revealed that she stopped acting in 2017, shortly before her engagement to Prince Harry. Since then, Meghan has only appeared in documentaries and reality shows, such as “With Love, Meghan.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a son and a daughter. In 2020, Prince Harry decided to retire from royal duties and the couple moved to Santa Barbara, California, USA.
