Jakarta (ANTARA) – Southeast Asia’s largest automotive exhibition, GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, was officially opened on Thursday (24/7) at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang. This event will run until August 3, 2025 and will feature more than 60 global automotive brands and is supported by more than 120 other supporting industries.
GIIAS 2025 features a variety of the latest vehicles from various segments, ranging from electric cars, hybrid vehicles, concept cars, facelift models and global debuts. Numerous manufacturers took advantage of this exhibition to launch their new models for the first time in the world, in Asia and Indonesia.
From the South Korean manufacturer, Hyundai presents the Ioniq 6 N, a high-performance electric sedan with an aerodynamic design, as well as the Kona Facelift with updated appearance and features. Hyundai will also launch a new minivan specially designed for Indonesian families.
Chinese manufacturer BAIC presented the BJ30 Hybrid, while BMW Group Indonesia presented four new models: the BMW 3 Series (facelift), the latest BMW X5, the BMW iX1 (electric SUV) and the BMW i5 (electric luxury sedan).
BYD brings a line of new models such as the Yang Wang U9, Denza Z9 GT and Seagull.

In addition to four-wheeled vehicles, 16 motorcycle brands will also participate in GIIAS 2025, including: Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Dubbs, Exotic, Harley Davidson, Kupprum, Moto Guzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, U-Winfly, Vespa and Wedison. Four national body shop brands were also present: Adiputro, Laksana, New Armada and Tentrem.
Organizers have announced that around 40 new vehicles including World Premiere, Asia Premiere and Indonesia Premiere will be launched during the show. Beyond this, a number of future concept cars will appear to provide insight into the future direction of automotive industry innovation.
