The screen measures 11 inches and supports resolutions up to 2.5K, equivalent to 2560 x 1600 pixels. With crisp visual details and support update frequency up to 90 Hz, the experience of using content and browsing is more fluid and pleasant for the eyes.
3. Four speakers with Dolby Atmos
The audio quality of this device also deserves appreciation. Redmi Pad 2 features four stereo speakers positioned in orientation landscapeso the sound is loud, clear and has a wider stereo effect.
Watch a movie, listen to music or attend a meeting online it also becomes more fun. Xiaomi also provides equalizer 10 bands, allowing users to adjust the character of the sound based on preferences, such as whether they want the vocals to stand out more or Bass more pronounced.
4. Long battery life
Another advantage that is difficult to ignore is its durability. With a battery capacity of 9,000 mAh, this tablet is one of the largest in its class.
Xiaomi claims that this device can last up to 17 hours streaming video or approximately 234 hours of music playback. This claim is also supported by third-party test results showing that battery life is very good for the size of a tablet.
5. Fast performance thanks to Helio G100 Ultra and UFS 2.2
In the motor sector, the Redmi Pad 2 relies on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset with a 6nm manufacturing process that makes power consumption more efficient. For light activities up to multitasking relaxed, the performance is quite responsive.
The benchmark score also shows a significant improvement compared to the previous generation. In AnTuTu v10 the score was around 431 thousand, while Geekbench 6 recorded a score of 728 (single core) and 1,982 (multicore). With UFS 2.2 storage, application read and write speeds are also better.
Disadvantages of the Redmi Pad 2
1. Standard camera only
Behind the series of advantages, the photography sector of the Redmi Pad 2 is not something to be proud of. Both the front and rear cameras feature resolutions that are still limited to basic needs.
The front only has a 5MP sensor, while the rear lens has a resolution of 8MP. The quality is sufficient for videos call or photograph documents and short moments, but don’t expect sharp, detailed photos for more serious needs.
2. Fill out the sales package with the minimum accessories
Although the ecosystem of accessories of the Redmi Pad 2 is relatively complete, not all are available directly in the sales package. For example, charger The default power is just 15W, although this tablet supports charging up to 18W, meaning users need to purchase a faster adapter separately.
Other accessories such as the Redmi Smart Pen are also sold separately at a fairly high price, around IDR 699,000. Unfortunately this tablet doesn’t support a magnetic system for attaching a stylus, so it’s less practical for users who want to use it as a productivity device.
3. Limited RAM and storage
Redmi Pad 2 is present in the Indonesian market only with a 4GB RAM configuration and warehousing 128GB (UFS 2.2). For basic use it is still safe, but in 2025 multitasking with many applications it may seem heavier than devices with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.
While there’s a microSD slot of up to 2TB for expanding storage, the lack of a larger RAM option makes it less flexible for long-term use.
4. No cellular connectivity
This tablet only features Wi-Fi 5 with no SIM support paper. Users who often work away from home should rely on it hotspot from your mobile phone, certainly less efficient and sometimes inconvenient. The lack of a 4G/5G network makes it unable to compete with many other tablets in the same price range that support cellular connectivity.
5. Charging takes a long time
While the battery life is commendable, the charging process is a different story. With a large capacity of 9,000 mAh but only supports recharge 18W, seems rather time consuming to reach 100%. Competitors in its category have started offering it fast charging up to 30W and above, so the charging experience of the Redmi Pad 2 seems less efficient.
