Jakarta (ANTARA) – The fifth week of the BRI Super League 2025/2026 will feature a prestigious duel between Persija Jakarta and Bali United at Jakarta International Stadium, North Jakarta, on Sunday (14/9) at 19.00 WIB. This match is expected to be hot considering both teams have high motivation to get full points.
Persija Jakarta looks at this match with the status of first in the table. Kemayoran Tigers are so far undefeated with a record of three wins and one draw, picking up a total of 10 points. Coach Mauricio Souza said his team has prepared the best strategy to maintain the positive trend.
“I believe in the quality of the players I have. They are quality players who play for the team. My hope is that they can carry out their tasks with the best performance,” Souza told ILeague.
Persija’s preparations are becoming more mature after several key players returned to the squad, including defenders Jordi Amat and Rizky Ridho who returned from international duty. Two young players, Rayhan Hannan and Dony Tri Pamungkas, will also arrive immediately, while the previously injured forwards Gustavo Almeida and Allano Lima have returned to training.

“Jordi and Ridho have joined, this Thursday Rayhan and Dony will also arrive. So we will face the match with a full team,” said Souza.
On the front line, Persija still relies on the sharpness of Maxwell who has scored four goals in a row, one goal behind Dalberto Luan (Arema FC) in the list of temporary top scorers. The return of Gustavo Almeida will also add more dangerous attacking options for Kemayoran Tigers.
Meanwhile, Bali United have just regained their momentum after winning their first win of the season over Madura United with a score of 1-0 in week four. Previously, Serdadu Tridatu had only recorded two draws and one defeat. He is currently eighth in the standings with five points.
Bali United manager Johnny Jansen assessed that his team’s performances showed positive developments from week to week. “We’re starting to get better physically, getting better tactically and also getting better at playing together. I see we’re having better team development,” Jansen said.

In match records, Bali United still leads with 12 wins from 21 competitive matches against Persija since 2016. Persija recorded six wins, while the other three matches ended in draws. However, in the last match, Persija managed to win 3-0.
The statistics also show that this match is expected to produce a lot of goals. Persija have scored 11 goals in five matches in all competitions, while Bali United have scored 10 goals. On average both teams scored two goals per game. However, Bali United’s weakness was seen in the defense sector as they were one of the teams with the highest number of goals conceded, i.e. nine goals until the fourth week.
Persija goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo underlined that the team’s preparation is going well. “We must continue to improve the existing shortcomings. We know that every opponent has quality, because this championship is very competitive,” he said.
Based on the notes on the conditions of the two teams above, the match between Persija and Bali United is expected to be fierce. Persija have the ambition to maintain the top position in the table, while Bali United is determined to continue their revival and at the same time avenge the defeat of the previous match.
