Jakarta (ANTARA) – The 2025/2026 BRI Super League competition has entered its fourth week. From the series of matches that took place, a highlight became the progress of the three promotion teams, namely PSIM Yogyakarta, Persijap Jepara and Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC. These three teams showed different performances in the early season competition.
PSIM Yogyakarta is the promotional team with the best record so far. Jean-Paul van Gastel’s team did not lose once, with two wins and two draws. In four games, Laskar Mataram has collected eight points, scored five goals and conceded just two goals.
PSIM’s first victory came as a surprise when they beat Persebaya Surabaya 1-0 at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium on 8 August. Subsequently, PSIM recorded two draws with the same score of 1-1 against Arema FC and defending champion Persib Bandung. The positive trend continued once again as they beat Malut United 2-0 at the Kie Raha Stadium in week four. These results brought PSIM to fourth place in the table with a total of eight points, the same as Arema FC in third place.
Besides PSIM, another promotional team, Persijap Jepara, was also able to provide surprises even if they were not consistent. Out of four matches, Laskar Kalinyamat achieved one win, two draws and one defeat.
