A missing 60-year-old man has been found dead in a building in the city centre. His family had filed a complaint on November 5 to investigate his whereabouts.
The body was discovered this Sunday in the elevator shaft of a building on 48th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. Initial investigations all point to a suicide, with witnesses saying the man identified as Marcelo Aldo Rodriguez had left a farewell note days before his disappearance.
The cause was classified as suicide and the matter was referred to UFI 11 chief prosecutor Alvaro Garganta. The Science Police worked with officials from the First Police Station and Patrol Command to investigate the scene.
