Las Palmas Atlético added a point against Sanse (1-1). Elias put the yellow team ahead with his first shot on goal 30 minutes after a free kick, but the Madrid team equalized before the break and won in good shape in the second half. Despite the local improvements, the yellow defense remained strong and kept the score level until the end, conceding few clear-cut chances.
The early stages were full of trial and error, with neither team willing to take any risks and as time wore on they played roughly to thwart minimal rival attempts to close in on the area. After 30 minutes, Elias broke the lead thanks to a deflection from the barrier and took a free kick himself, the first shot on goal of the match.
A few minutes later, Alex Blanco joined the attack on the right, and Sanse reacted by slotting the ball into the area, where Fer Harta finished at his near post to restore parity. Apart from the goal, there were no shots throughout the first half, but just before half-time Garci took a timid shot from the top of the area, which was easily caught by Killane.
After the restart, the Madrid team performed better and showed more plays in the rival field through vertical games. A low cross from Mario González’s lateral foul was about to surprise Killane. Killane had to do his best to catch the ball in messy play on the edge of the six-yard box. Moments later, Gran Canaria’s goalkeeper intervened again, deflecting Fer Harta’s shot from a corner kick.
San Sebastian de los Reyes continued to dominate in the final stages of the match, but the yellow defense showed strength against the situation and denied them any clear-cut chances. Javi Martínez had the option of giving Las Palmas Atlético all three points with the end of regulation time, but his shot from outside the area was on target and the score was 1-1.
