The incident occurred this Sunday (9/11). The woman reported to military police that she followed her vehicle to Avenida Brasil Norte in another vehicle to retrieve it. The man approached the woman, but she refused to hand over the car and tried to flee, dragging the owner of the car with her.
Security camera footage showed the man lying on the ground with his arm caught in the driver’s window as the car passed through an intersection.
A short time later, the car stopped and the woman stood up. The car continued to drive with the woman still inside, but this time it ran at the same speed as the car until it crossed a main street intersection.
Police said the suspect fled the scene when teams arrived to respond to the incident.
