Spcine, an audiovisual development company working with the city of São Paulo, will have lawyer Anna Paula Montini as its new CEO.
He will take up the position from February 2024 and will succeed Liara Oliveira, who previously worked at Spsin. The city’s Culture, Creative Economy Bureau said the changes were part of “an internal restructuring process and the natural progression of new management.” Toto Parente took over the portfolio from Ricardo Nunez (MDB) at the beginning of this year, during his second term as mayor of São Paulo.
This appointment was approved by the Spcine Board of Directors.
“Anna Paula’s arrival represents a new moment of focus on speed and efficiency in the implementation of notification and funding instruments, further strengthening City Hall’s commitment to the cultural sector,” Toto said, thanking Llara for the work carried out.
The new president has more than 20 years of experience in the cultural field. She was a member of the National Committee for the Promotion of Culture, founder of the Brazilian Cultural Rights Forum and manager of the Itau Cultural Association.
Anna Paula said she wants to expand the dialogue and “guarantee agility and transparency in resource management and strengthen cultural agents’ trust in public institutions.” “Nurturing is one of the most powerful tools not only for cultural and social transformation, but also for training, democratization of access, productive inclusion and internationalization,” he said.
