Marriott has severed ties with American Sonder, a hotel giant listed on New York’s Nasdaq with more than 180 properties around the world. This second company’s bankruptcy jeopardizes the deal signed a year ago. … year of Let’s leverage the Sonder by Marriott brand together. They operated several accommodation facilities in Madrid, Catalonia, and one in Malaga, particularly the Salitre Hotel in the city center.
The guests who were staying at the hotel had their reservations canceled and moved out on Monday this week, and All future stays booked with other guests have been cancelled.so it is likely that the relationship broke down because Diario Sur moved on. The facility in question opened just a few months ago, is located on Plaza de Toros Vieja Street, and has 95 rooms. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor that was involved in this whole process.
The Marriott International chain announced in a brief statement last Sunday that its contract with Sonder had been terminated due to non-compliance by the US company. Under this agreement, both offers were sold together. in fact, Marriott’s prestige raised Mr. Sonder’s profile. It has succeeded, at least apparently, in restoring its financial position.
Sonder has not commented on the breakup, but the co-branded properties will close immediately pending resolution of pending proceedings.
